Question:

Does CA IDMS have any tool that will generate a network diagram?

 

Answer:

Yes, there is an CA IDMS Tools product called 'Schema Mapper' that produces

 

a network diagram. Basically you provide a list of parms and it creates data

structure diagrams on schemas and subschemas in the IDMS dictionary.

The data structure diagram includes record block and set description formats

to diagram layout.

The DCPROFIL task will show the Product Intent Status menu, which Tools products you have installed. The Tools products should be on page 10 of the display. If

Schema Mapper is installed, you'll see a YES to the right of the product.
