Upgrade precheck for VCF Automation 9.0.2 to 9.1.1 fails at stage "Run component upgrade precheck"

Issue/Introduction

Upgrade from VCF Automation 9.0.2 to VCF Automation 9.1.1 fails at stage "Run component upgrade precheck" with following error message:

Step vmsp_run_vcfa_prechecks failed. Reference Code: E6C09DF7. Check logs for details.

• Retrying upgrade precheck task get the task queued in VCF service runtime, to validate run k get tasks -A | grep queued
• SFTP incremental backup is configured to run every 15 minutes.

Environment

VCF Automation 9.1.1

Cause

The precheck task was queued because incremental backup tasks for all components were triggered in too short interval of every 15 minutes.

Resolution

Update existing backup schedule for all components using VCF Ops UI as per following tech doc to trigger in every 4 hours.

If the issue persist after updating backup schedule, please raise a case with Broadcom support as per KB to investigate.
