CA IDMS 19 Incremental release 3 removes tools release

Issue/Introduction

Question:

I have installed ca IDMS 19 incremental release 3 in one of our test systems. I noticed the DCPROFILE no longer lists a TOOLS release:

 

CA IDMS 19:

TAPE: GJJ00B NUMBER OF SCTS: 0008

TOOLS TAPE: CAGJJ0

ENDEVOR/DB TAPE: CAGJJ0 OPERATING SYSTEM: z/OS ZIIP=N

zIIP ENGINES: 0000

 

IDMS 19 SP3:

TAPE: GJJ03I NUMBER OF SCTS: 0008

 

OPERATING SYSTEM: z/OS ZIIP=N

zIIP ENGINES: 0000

SYSTEM TRACE: YES TRACE SAVE: OFF (DDLDCLOG)

 

Is that intentional?

 

Answer:

Yes, that is intentional. Since the IDMS database products and tools install has been integrated for some time, there is only one release. The old display was a hold

over from the old days when there was a separate tools install.
