Cannot search groups in projects or when assigning ownership of a deployment in VCF Automation 9.0.x

Issue/Introduction

• This issue occurs in VM Apps and All Apps organizations and includes catalog items, deployments, and, in All Apps organizations, with supervisor resources.
• Users who are added to projects as part of a user group cannot access project resources
• Groups have been synced from the Authentications source
• When adding a group to a project or when searching a group to change ownership of a deployment the group is not returned. 

Environment

VCF Automation 9.0.x

Cause

 The issue is caused by the incorrect use of a filter in the Project Service when associating users with groups and assigning group project principals' access to namespaces. Instead of fetching the desired group from VCF Automation Provider Management, the Project Service fetches a page of groups. When there are more groups than the page size, which is 25, the groups that are left out cannot be handled.

Resolution

This issue has been resolved in 9.1.0.0200

Workaround:

1. You can work around the issue by reducing the number of synced groups to 25 or less to ensure that all results are found
2. Alternatively you can assign permissions directly to users instead of a group
