HCX Mobility Group Fails to Detect Newly Created Distributed Port Groups

Issue/Introduction

 When configuring a VMware HCX Mobility Group for virtual machine migration, newly created Distributed Port Groups in the destination VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF) environment are not visible in the network selection list.

Environment

VMware HCX 9.1.0.0
VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF) 9.1

Cause

The new Distributed Port Groups are associated with the destination vCenter and Distributed Virtual Switch (VDS), not the legacy vCenter environment where they were expected by the HCX Mobility Group configuration.

Resolution

• Verify that the new Distributed Port Groups are correctly configured on the destination vCenter and VDS.
• Ensure the HCX Mobility Group is configured to utilize the destination vCenter where these new networks are defined.

NOTE: 

If you don't see the new port group under NSX, you should be able to see it under Vcenter
