Validity for Datacom LXX (Log Area) to be extended

Issue/Introduction

Can the Datacom LXX (Log Area) file be extended, or can it have more than one extent?

Resolution

Prior to version 15.0, the LXX cannot be extended. However, there is no problem with the allocation of the file taking multiple extents. The LXX is a standard PS file, and is subject to all requirements of PS files, such as the primary space allocation being satisfied in 1-5 extents.

Starting with version 15.0, the LXX can be extended using the DYNAMIC_EXTEND console-like command to perform an on-demand dynamic extend, just like the CXX.
