Price Calculation Fails for Catalog Items in VCF Automation

Issue/Introduction

In VCF Automation 9.1, price calculation fails for catalog items. When you attempt to calculate pricing for catalog items, the following error message is displayed:

Value "resId" is invalid for request param "Resource Identifier". Allowed values are = "[]"

This prevents users from proceeding with deployment requests that require a price estimation.

Resolution

To resolve this issue, you must ensure that a valid Cloud Account for VCF Automation for VM Apps Organization is created and configured correctly within VCF Operations.

Prerequisites

• Ensure you have administrative access to the VCF Operations console.
• Verify that your VCF Automation environment is reachable from the VCF Operations management network.

Steps to Resolve

1. Log in to the VCF Operations console with administrative privileges.
2. Navigate to Integrations: In the left navigation panel, expand Administration and click on Integrations.
3. Add New Integration: Click on Add and select VCF Automation for VM Apps Organization from the list of available integration tiles.
4. Configure the Cloud Account using the appropriate credentials and endpoint details for your VCF Automation environment.
5. Click Validate Connection to ensure VCF Operations successfully communicates with VCF Automation.
6. Return to the VCF Automation console and retry the price calculation for the catalog item.
