token ?OPT.APPMANIFEST? has no impact with CA Gen 8.5 / 8.6 & Visual Studio 2010

Issue/Introduction

Symptoms: 

Applications generated by CA Gen 8.5 (or CA Gen 8.6) with Visual Studio 2010 run without a manifest file.

Cause: 

The token “OPT.APPMANIFEST”  has no impact with CA Gen 8.5 Visual Studio 2010, or with CA Gen 8.6.

 

Resolution/Workaround:

If it is desired to use an application manifest file, you have to copy an <application>.exe.manifest to the location of the .exe. It will be used when it is available within this location.
