vCenter has frequent failed Sync volume tasks when using Cloud Native Storage (CNS)

Issue/Introduction

• Confirmed that the issue is not a match of similar KB CNS tasks in vCenter Server frequently fail with the error, A specified parameter is not correct.
• The datastore shared across vCenter Server instances.
• In the journalctl log, the following log repeatedly occurs.

• In the vpxd log, failed lock vmdk file log repeatedly occurs.

Cause

vSphere Container Storage Plug-in does not support datastores shared across vCenter instances.

Resolution

Detach LUNs so that there are no shared datastores across multiple vCenters and carefully review the Pre-unmount checklist in the following KB.
