Issue/Introduction

Following the upgrade to LSR 9.0.5.0, the steps to locate and download the appropriate version of the VMware Aria Operations Management Pack for VMware Live Site Recovery are provided, along with the compatibility requirements for those using VMware Aria Operations 8.16.x.

VMware Live Recovery 9.0.5

Cause

VMware Aria Operations instance may fail to collect metrics from the appliances. This is typically due to a Management Pack version mismatch between the upgraded  appliances and the existing Aria Operations configuration.

Resolution

To restore metric collection and ensure full compatibility with VMware Aria Operations 8.16.x, follow the requirements below:

1. Compatibility Requirements:
According to the Broadcom Interoperability Matrix, the following versions are compatible:

Management Pack Version: 9.0.3
VMware Aria Operations Version: 8.16.x
VMware Live Site Recovery Version: 9.0.5.x
Note: If the installation of Management Pack 9.0.3 fails (e.g., at Stage 11) or integration issues persist, it may indicate a requirement for VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF) Operations 9.0. Management Pack versions beyond 9.0.2 are increasingly aligned with the VCF 9.0 release cycle.

2. Download Instructions:
The VMware Aria Operations Management Packs are distributed through the VCF Solutions Catalog (formerly VMware Marketplace) rather than the standard Broadcom Portal "My Downloads" section.

3. Access Requirements:
