Issue/Introduction
vCenter file based backup size are larger in size when compared to other vCenters that are managing similar sized environments. The vCenter in question has many core files in the /var/core location taking up substantial space.
Environment
vCenter 8.X
Resolution
The /var/core location is not included in the file based backups that are performed by the vCenter.
