VMAN and Compliance Package Support for Ubuntu 24.04

Issue/Introduction

Unable to scan Ubuntu 24.04 LTS workloads for compliance and vulnerabilities. The scans stall because the provided Vulnerability Management (VMAN) and Compliance (Locke/SecOps) content packages

Environment

VCF Saltstack 8.18.x

Cause

Earlier releases of the VMAN and SecOps (Locke) content packages did not contain the updated vulnerability and compliance definitions required to scan newly deployed Ubuntu 24.04 LTS environments.

Resolution

Resolution:

• Compliance Content (SecOps): Broadcom has officially released the SecOps bundle for CIS Ubuntu 24.04 v2.0.0. You can download this updated package now to enable compliance scanning.
• How to download the bundles
• Vulnerability Content (VMAN): VMAN bundles are updated on a monthly basis. Broadcom Engineering anticipates that the upcoming release, scheduled for late September 2026, will introduce full VMAN support and definitions for Ubuntu 24.04 LTS.
