Chinese characters display as boxes in Symantec Endpoint Security Cloud PDF reports

Issue/Introduction

When generating weekly reports from the Symantec Endpoint Security (SES) Cloud console and exporting them to PDF, Chinese (Simplified or Traditional) characters may not render correctly, displaying as boxes or garbled text.

Cause

This is a known product issue where the PDF rendering engine in the SES Cloud console does not fully support extended character sets for specific regional languages.

Resolution

This issue is currently under review and is targeted to be fixed in a future release. This article will be updated with the fix details once it is available in production.
