NSX 'IP Pool Usage Very High' alarms persist without entity names even after VPC subnets IP Pool deletion

Issue/Introduction

• In VMware NSX environments,  multiple "IP Pool Usage Very High" alarms appear in the NSX Manager dashboard.
• A distinguishing symptom is that these alarms lack an associated Entity Name (Object or Project) and persist even when the actual IP pool utilization is well below the threshold.
• This issue is encountered in environments utilizing VPC Subnet IP pools and the alarm persists even after the VPC subnet IP Pool is deleted.

Environment

VMware NSX 9.1.x

Cause

There is an issue in the alarm resolution process for pools that belong to a VPC subnet. Back to back deletion of IP allocations, followed by deletion of the VPC subnet, leads to this issue.

Resolution

This is a known issue affecting VMware NSX 9.1.x. There is currently no resolution.

To workaround this issue, acknowledge the offending alarms in the NSX UI.
