System alert "SSL Certificate Error" notification in Aria Operations for Logs triggering on a daily basis

Issue/Introduction

A false positive "SSL Certificate Error" alert notification is triggering daily for vCenter.

vCenter integration is using SSL and showing as collecting with no issues with NTP or certificates.

Alert notification detail: 

Syslog client <vCenter server> disconnected due to a SSL handshake problem. This may be a problem with the SSL Certificate or with the Network Time Service. In order for VMware Cloud Foundation Operations for Logs to accept syslog messages over SSL, a certificate that is validated by the client is required and the clocks of the systems must be in sync.

Aria Operations for Logs 8.18.x

VCF Operations for Logs 9.0.x

Resolution

To workaround the issue disable the system alert for SSL Certificate:

1. Log into the UI as admin or a privileged user.
2. Navigate to Alerts > System Alerts.
3. Locate the "SSL Certificate Error"
4. Toggle the Status to Disable.
