During a DX UIM deployment or upgrade (e.g., to CU8), the installation fails during the account authentication step. Authentication credentials that were previously valid (e.g., from prior deployments like CU6) are rejected, and the installation cannot proceed.
DX UIM hub probe version 23.4.4 and higher introduced a mandatory password policy and a default 90-day expiration for local Nimbus accounts. Passwords must now meet specific complexity requirements:
Minimum 8 characters.
At least one uppercase letter.
At least one lowercase letter.
At least one digit.
At least one special character.
Existing administrator accounts that do not meet these criteria or have reached the 90-day threshold are marked as expired. Older versions of the Infrastructure Manager (IM) FAT client do not support the new password reset challenge workflow, often causing the login to return a generic "Invalid credentials" or unknown error rather than prompting the user to update the password.
