How to Suppress Alarms on Interfaces When Placing a SDN Device in Maintenance Mode in DX NetOps Spectrum?

Issue/Introduction

By default, placing a SDN device into Maintenance Mode suppresses alarms at the device level, but downstream or sub-component interface alarms may still trigger if maintenance states are not configured to propagate.

Resolution

1. Open the OneClick Console and locate the device model you intend to place in Maintenance Mode.

2. Select the device model and navigate to the Attributes tab in the Component Detail panel.

   • Search for the attribute rollSDNMMAlarmToIF (Attribute ID: 0x673006a).

   • Edit the attribute value and set it to Yes (or TRUE). (Alternatively, you can update this attribute for multiple models simultaneously using the Attribute Editor).

3. Right-click the device model and place it into Maintenance Mode.
