sql_response probe does not send QoS Metrics when configured via MCS template

Issue/Introduction

When configuring the sql_response probe v. 4.10 using the Monitoring Configuration Service (MCS) template, the configuration can be saved successfully even if the "simple query" field is left blank. However, this results in an invalid configuration where the probe fails to generate or send any QoS (Quality of Service) metrics.

Environment

DX Unified Infrastructure Management (DX UIM) 23.4.x

sql_response probe 4.10

Resolution

The Engineering team has confirmed that a fix will be included in the next GA release, which is currently expected in September 2026.

The update will modify the MCS template to make the "simple query" field a mandatory requirement, preventing invalid configurations from being saved.

Workaround: ensure that you manually populate the "simple query" field with a valid SQL query every time you configure the sql_response probe via the MCS template.
