VCF 9.1.1 vCenter Import or Convert precheck shows "vCenter Server is above 9.2.0.0 with VxRail Next extension present" on a non-VxRail environment

Issue/Introduction

When executing a vCenter Import or Convert precheck in VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF) 9.1.1, the validation report displays the following warning message:

• Name: vCenter Server is above 9.2.0.0 with VxRail Next extension present
• Message: VxRail Next extension found for this vCenter Server Version above 9.2.0.0

This behavior is observed even in environments that are not using VxRail and where no VxRail Next or Dell Private Cloud client extensions are registered. Despite the warning text, the check result is marked as Successful / Passed, and the Import or Convert operation is not blocked.

Cause

This is a known cosmetic bug in VCF 9.1.1. VCF executes a VxRail-related guardrail during the Import/Convert precheck process. The underlying logic correctly validates the environment, but the success text is incorrectly inverted, causing the system to display a warning regarding the vCenter version and extension presence on non-VxRail vCenter Servers.

Resolution

This issue is cosmetic and does not impact system functionality or the Import/Convert process. No administrative action is required. A permanent code fix for this messaging defect is currently in development and will be included in a subsequent VCF release.
