Ops Manager Foundation Core UI Certificates Page Displays Blank Screen Instead of Error Banner

Issue/Introduction

When accessing the Manage > Certificates page within the new Ops Manager foundation core UI, users may encounter a blank page instead of the expected error banner.

This issue specifically occurs during situations where the BOSH Director is down, being redeployed or otherwise unreachable. In contrast, the Classic UI correctly displays a descriptive API error banner, such as:

"Unable to retrieve certificates: could not get Credhub Client, reason: could not connect to credhub..."

Cause

This is a known product defect in the new Ops Manager foundation core UI. The interface is currently failing to surface API error messages that are correctly communicated by the backend, resulting in an empty interface.

Resolution

To view specific error details or banners when the BOSH Director is unreachable, please switch to the Classic UI. The Classic UI provides the necessary visibility into API-level error messages required for troubleshooting.

Product team has identified this issue and is working on a fix to correctly surface API errors in the new core UI. This fix will be included in an upcoming release.
