"Out-of-date" stemcell badge and incorrect stemcell information is displayed in Ops Manager Foundation Core UI

Issue/Introduction

In the Ops Manager Foundation Core UI, users may encounter incorrect stemcell-related information displayed in the following locations:

1. Manage > Stemcells Page: Undeployed tiles incorrectly display an "out-of-date" stemcell badge, even when the latest applicable stemcell version has been correctly selected.
2. Review Pending Changes Page: Stemcell information is incorrectly listed as a "Warning" implying the required stemcell is not installed when it is. Additionally, the stemcell version information may be redundant or repeated (e.g., "Requires ubuntu-jammy [version] stemcell version [version]").
   • Note: Unlike the classic UI, which correctly displays the intended change (e.g., "Updating stemcell from [old version] to [new version]") and status badges, the Foundation Core UI display may lack this clarity.

Cause

This is a known cosmetic defect identified in the Ops Manager Foundation Core UI logic responsible for calculating and displaying stemcell status. It does not impact your actual deployment, security, or functionality. No configuration changes or workarounds are required.

Resolution

Product team is aware of this defect and is working on a fix for inclusion in a future release of Operations Manager. Please monitor the release notes for upcoming versions for updates on this correction.
