Issue/Introduction

• Attempting to search in VCF Ops' product UI, the error 'Unauthorized request. The server refuses to fulfill the request.' it received and no objects are returned.
• You are still able to navigate to objects using the inventory tree.

Environment

VCF Operations 9.1

Cause

The permission 'Operate > Administration > Control Panel > REST APIs > Read access to APIs' is missing from the role assigned to the affected user.

Resolution

1. As an administrative user, navigate to 'Operate > Administration > Control Panel > Access Control > Roles' in the VCF Ops UI
2. Edit the role assigned to the affected user
3. Add the following permission to the role:
   • Operate > Administration > Control Panel > REST APIs > Read access to APIs
