Issue/Introduction

Attempting to upgrade ESXi using VCF Operations 9.1 to version 9.1.0 200 fails with an error. On configure upgrade step 3 ("assign images to cluster"), the following error is presented: "Showing only images with ESXi version 9.1.0.0.25370933".

Cause

The domain upgrade plan is incorrectly configured to target the specific VMware ESXi target version 9.1.0.0.25370933 rather than the desired patch build.

Resolution

 

1. Edit the domain upgrade plan.

2. Choose the custom target version option.

3. Select the desired patch build that matches the uploaded image to allow the upgrade to proceed.
