Snapshot operations in VMware Cloud Director (VCD) consistently fail on same VM

Issue/Introduction

  - The error "Could not find snapshot of VirtualMachineDto..." is reported when taking a snapshot of a specific VM in vCD, even though the task succeeds in vCenter.
  - Reconnecting the vCenter in vCD did not resolve the issue, and the same error persists for that VM.
  - A query of the vCD VM table confirmed that there are two distinct records sharing the same moref

Environment

VMware Cloud Director 10.6.x

Cause

The presence of duplicate, stale VM records for the same moref in the VCD database, which prevents the snapshot task from reconciling successfully

Resolution

Database modifications are required to remove duplicate VM entries.
