Deleting Avi connection from VCF Automation fails with "No route to host"

Issue/Introduction

• Avi Load Balancer has already been removed from VCF Operations.
• Attempting to delete an Avi Load Balancer connection or associated organization networking connections in VCF Automation fails with below error:
  
  I/O error on POST request for "https://<Avi FQDN>/login": No route to host

Environment

VMware Cloud Foundation 9.1
VCF Automation 9.1
Avi Load Balancer 32.1

Cause

During deletion of Avi connection, VCF Automation needs to reach out to Avi for validation. If the Avi instance was removed prior to deleting the integration, endpoint validation fails and blocks the removal process.

Avi-related configurations and connections need to be removed from the VCF Automation provider portal before uninstalling Avi Load Balancer from VCF Operations.

Resolution

The issue will be enhanced in future release.

Currently to clean up the orphaned connection, perform the following steps:

1. Re-deploy Avi from VCF Operations using the original FQDN.
2. Update the admin account credentials for the Avi connection in VCF Automation so it can successfully authenticate with the new Avi instance.
3. Remove Avi connection from VCF Automation provider portal.
4. Uninstall Avi Load Balancer from VCF Operations again.
