Policy Translation Fails on Data Center Security Server (DCS) Agents v6.10.1

Issue/Introduction

After upgrading to Data Center Security Server (DCS) v6.10.x, the 'SDCSS_Server_Monitor' policy fails to apply.

You may see the following error in the agent logs:
Translation,,,,,Policy Translation Failed: In SDCSS_Server_Monitor; Registry Reference (HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\software\symantec\intrusion security\Manager\InstallRoot) did not resolve into valid values.

Environment

Data Center Security Server Agent v6.10.1, Manager v6.10.3

Cause

The 'SDCSS_Server_Monitor' policy references a legacy registry key that is missing or inaccessible in v6.10.x environments.

Resolution

This issue is scheduled for resolution in a future policy pack (v6.11+).
In the interim: Verify the error using the log entry provided in the Issue/Introduction section.

If this environment requires immediate policy application, contact Broadcom Support to obtain the workaround policy.
