High Latency and Slowness for the api/network/{uuid}/allocatedAddresses VMware Cloud Director API Endpoint

Issue/Introduction

Administrators and users interacting with the VMware Cloud Director API may experience significant performance degradation and high latency when querying allocated IP addresses.

• The API endpoint api/network/{uuid}/allocatedAddresses takes an unusually long time to return results.
• For example, querying a network with just 47 allocated addresses can take between 1.5 to 3 seconds to complete, which would cause significant delays and timeouts on other dependent tasks. 

Environment

VMware Cloud Director 10.6.x

Cause

This performance issue is caused by a redundant data population loop within the backend code handling the API request.

Resolution

Broadcom is aware of this issue and a fix in planned in the upcoming release of VMware Cloud Director.
