Cannot remove certificate from VCF Services Runtime Control Plane

Issue/Introduction

• Unable to remove a root certificate from the VCF Services Runtime Control Plane Virtual Machine (VMSP cluster) before it expires.

• The certificate was previously imported using the vmsp-utility.py script mentioned in the  VCF 9.1 Software Depot fails with error, "Failed to connect to the authorization server to obtain access token." when using a SSL Inspection proxy

Environment

VMware Cloud foundation 9.1.x

VCF Operations 9.1.x

Cause

There is currently no API available to delete or remove certificates from the VMSP cluster.

Resolution

• This API is under review with Broadcom Engineering and is planned for a future release.

• Subscribe to this knowledge article to get updates on this issue.

• Workaround: No action is required to remove the leftover certificate, as it will not affect your environment.
