Issue/Introduction

In clustered environments, Identity Portal roles may experience delayed replication between nodes following the creation of new task permissions.

This article identifies the cause of this synchronization issue and provides the necessary resolution steps to ensure prompt replication across the cluster.

Environment

Identity Portal 15.0.1

Cause

The delay in role replication is caused by a known issue within the Identity Portal cache synchronization mechanism (Defect DE681506).

Resolution

To resolve this issue, apply the patch provided by Broadcom engineering:

  1. Obtain the patch file associated with defect DE681506 from Broadcom Support.
  2. Follow the instructions provided with the patch package to apply the fix to all nodes in the Identity Portal cluster.
  3. Restart the Identity Portal services on all cluster nodes to ensure the cache synchronization fix takes effect.
