Unable to accept new certificate thumbprint for vCenter to enable NetFlow collections

Issue/Introduction

• A problem alert is seen on VCF Operations for Networks for datasource identity change.
• Alert is "The data source identity information such as certificate or the key has changed."

Environment

• VCF Operations for Networks 9.0.x
• VCF Operations for Networks 9.1.0.x

Cause

In similar scenarios, the most reliable way to resolve a certificate thumbprint mismatch is to remove and re-add the data source endpoint. This forces the system to perform a fresh handshake and prompts you to accept the current, updated certificate.

Resolution

To resolve this, please follow these steps:

1. Open your VCF Operations for Networks UI.
2. Locate the data source (vCenter/NSX) currently showing the alert.
3. Remove the endpoint configuration.
4. Re-add the endpoint with the necessary credentials.
5. This should trigger the prompt to verify and accept the new certificate thumbprint.
