Issue/Introduction

Unable to deploy/configure Local Consumption Interface Service 

On workload management menu in the vSphere web client, the Supervisor Service for 'Local Consumption Interface' displays an 'error' for it's status. 

Describing of the package installs shows:


kubectl describe pkgi svc-cci-ns.vmware.com -n vmware-system-supervisor-services

vendir: Error: Syncing directory '0':
        Syncing directory '.' with imgpkgBundle contents:
          Fetching image:
            Error while preparing a transport to talk with the registry:
              Unable to create round tripper:
 GET https://<FQDN>/ 
 unauthorized: HTTP Basic: Access denied

 

 

Environment

vSphere 8.x/9.x
VKS

Cause

Invalid credentials configured for the custom image repository

Resolution

From Menu > Supervisor Management (Or Workload Management if on vSphere 8.x) > Supervisors tab > Supervisor > Configure > Container registries > Modify the existing registry, and submit the correct credential. 

Pods should automatically start being recreated
