Issue/Introduction

This article outlines the process for archiving and restoring Perspectives within the CloudHealth console. Perspectives allow for custom views of your cloud infrastructure; managing their state ensures that your Flex Reports remain accurate and your environment is organized.

Resolution

Archiving a Perspective:

1. Navigate to Setup > Perspectives.
2. Locate the Perspective you wish to archive from the list.
3. Select the option to Archive.
4. Important: Archiving a Perspective removes it from active use. It takes approximately 24 hours for this change to propagate through the system and reflect in your Flex Reports.

Restoring an Archived Perspective:

1. Navigate to Setup > Perspectives.
2. Filter the list to view your archived Perspectives.
3. Locate the Perspective you wish to restore.
4. Select the option to Restore.
5. Important: Restoring a Perspective also requires approximately 24 hours to fully sync and become available for use in your Flex Reports.

Note: If you encounter issues with report status after archiving or restoring, ensure that you wait for the full 24-hour sync window to complete before running associated reports.
