The password requirements and security measures detailed in the product documentation are intended as recommended best practices and security guidelines.
It is important to note that not all items or requirements listed in the documentation are strictly enforced by the product's technical implementation.

For instance, certain security configurations, such as password history tracking or prohibitions on reusing previous passwords, may be presented as recommended security standards in the documentation, but they may not be technically mandatory or enforced within the current Usage Meter software features.
Currently, the Usage Meter appliance only enforces that a new password must not be identical to the immediate previous one. It does not technically enforce the restriction against the last five passwords.
