*U11-012 (CA-11 DBAS SUSPENDED CMT SSN=CAL7) for job without U11RMS step

Issue/Introduction

A job was run without an RMS step where CA11 was active, but not connected to the DATACOM Multi-User (MUF)..  

The job now generates  *U11-012 (CA-11 DBAS SUSPENDED CMT SSN=CAL7).

 

Environment

Component: ELEVEN00200-11-Workload Automation-Restart Option-for Z/OS Schedulers

Release:  11.0 

Cause

TRKRMS is NO in the CA 11 configuration file.

If TRKRMS=NO is specified this affects all jobs on the system with CA 11.

TRKRMS=NO indicates that CA 11 will track jobs for the first three steps and if no U11RMS step is found within the first three steps CA 11 then checks to see if there is a member by the same name in CMT.

Jobs without the U11RMS step present that have not passed the third step term can hang if CA 11 is not able to access the Datacom/AD MUF. 

Resolution

Use TRKRMS=YES in the configuration file
