Missing -dbadditional parameter when running uniexportdb in Dollar Universe

Issue/Introduction

When attempting to use the uniexportdb binary in Dollar Universe v7.01.x and newer to convert an embedded Derby database to an external MSSQL or Oracle database, the operation fails with an error indicating that the -dbadditional parameter is missing. 

 

Environment

Product: Univiewer Management Server version 7.01.x

Cause

Newer versions of Univiewer Management Server require additional parameters when connecting to external MSSQL databases to ensure proper encryption and certificate handling. The -dbadditional parameter is mandatory for these configurations.

Resolution

The parameter -dbadditional will be documented from version 7.01.31.

Workaround:

-Stop the Univiewer Management Server(UVMS)

-Backup the files <UVMS_installation>/app/bin/uniexportdb.* and <UVMS_installation>/app/jars/central.jar

-Replace <UVMS_installation>/app/bin/uniexportdb.* and <UVMS_installation>/app/jars/central.jar with the files attached in this KB article.
