Issue/Introduction

vSphere Foundation deployments do not include the VCF Operations fleet management UI. Hence, the Backup and restore tab is not visible on the Operations UI.

This article provides the official procedure to perform file-based backups and restores for management services components within a VMware vSphere Foundation (VVF) environment.

Environment

• VMware vSphere Foundation (VVF) 9.1.x

Resolution

File-based backup and restore for Management Services components in VVF 9.1.x is achieved only via the Fleet LCM API.
