Azure Probe: Prometheus-Sourced Alerts Missing Metric and Condition Data

Issue/Introduction

When using the UIM Azure probe, metric or condition data (such as metric names, thresholds, or current values) are not populated for alerts originating from Prometheus.

Resolution

The Azure AlertsManagement API does not provide metric or condition data for Prometheus-sourced alerts. This behavior remains consistent across current and preview API versions (including 2025-05-25-preview and 2026-01-26-preview) and is by design in Azure.

Because Prometheus rules rely on PromQL expressions rather than straightforward metric/threshold pairs, the resulting alert records do not contain classic metric data structures.
