Error: "You haven't configured any of the parameter settings" when adding Email Actions to Monitor Policy

Issue/Introduction

When creating or editing a Monitor Policy, you attempt to add an Email Action using a customized "Send Email" task. Upon clicking OK to save the configuration, you receive the error:

"You haven't configured any of the parameter settings. Would you like to do this now?"

If you select Yes, the configuration window clears, and you are forced to re-enter all parameters, creating an endless loop. If you select No, the policy configuration is discarded, and you lose your changes.

Cause

This behavior is a known defect within the Monitor Policy user interface. The UI fails to correctly save or validate parameter configurations when an edited or custom "Send Email" task is applied to a Monitor Policy.

Resolution

To avoid this validation error, do not modify or edit the "Send Email" task parameters directly within the Monitor Policy interface.

Use the Pre-made Task: Use the default "Send Email" task provided by the Monitor Solution without attempting to modify the task parameters inside the Monitor Policy configuration window.
Avoid Task Editing: If specific custom parameters are required, ensure the task is configured and saved externally in the Jobs and Tasks folder first. Do not attempt to re-edit or "Save As" within the Monitor Policy action window.

Additional Information

This issue will be fixed in IT Management Suite version 8.8.2. Please upgrade to this version (or later) to resolve this defect.
