Issue/Introduction

• The following error occurs when executing the vcf-download-tool binaries upload command:

Validating SDDC Manager credentials.
ERROR: Failed to establish SSL connection. Unverified SDDC Manager hostname #######. Cause: Hostname ###### not verified:

• A short name is specified for the --sddc-manager-fqdn parameter.

Environment

VMware Cloud Foundation 9.1

Cause

The error occurs because a short name is specified for the --sddc-manager-fqdn parameter, resulting in a mismatch between the specified value and the FQDN listed in the certificate.

Resolution

Change the value specified for the --sddc-manager-fqdn parameter to the FQDN and execute the command again.
