RpcNs error in event view application log

Issue/Introduction

Whenever dispatcher service restarts by an application server, the following error is recorded in Windows event viewer application log:

The description for Event ID 2 from source RpcNs cannot be found. Either the component that raises this event is not installed or the installation is corrupted

Does this error have any negative impact on the application server?

 

Environment

CA Plex 7.2.1 and higher

Resolution

When CA Plex run time calls system function (API), this error message is output by event log.

This error appears by the change of specifications of the RPC Locator service.

Nothing influences the behavior of the Plex application server.

Please ignore this error.
