"Sync Not Applicable" Status on GSLB Follower Nodes After Avi Load balancer Upgrade to 30.2.x

Issue/Introduction

 

After upgrading GSLB sites to version 30.2.x or later, the replication status displayed on the GSLB follower node User Interface (UI) changes to "Sync Not Applicable." 

 

 

Environment

Avi Load Balancer 30.2.x and above 

Cause

This is an expected behavior introduced in version 30.2.x.

The status displayed on the Follower nodes User Interface (UI) does not indicate a functional issue with the GSLB configuration or data replication.

Resolution

GSLB Follower nodes are not designed to sync data to the Leader node. Only the Leader node can sync data to the Followers. The "Sync Not Applicable" status indicates that the Follower node does not need to sync any data to the Leader.

This specific UI status on the GSLB Followers  does not represent an error or a failure in replication and requires no corrective action.
