Issue/Introduction

HCX Compute Profile is showing error /infra/sites/default/enforcement-points/default/transport-zones/<uuid>: Transport Zone not found

The transport zone is present in NSX manager and is in healthy state.

Environment

VMware HCX

Cause

This issue occurs when the NSX Manager credentials have expired, or the user account is locked due to multiple failed authentication attempts. Consequently, HCX cannot pull the current inventory, leading to "Transport Zone not found" errors or red status indicators in the HCX-NSX integration.

Resolution

Re-register NSX after resetting NSX password and unlocking user account.

  1. Access the NSX Manager and verify the status of the user accounts.
  2. If the password of the user account used for HCX-NSX integration has expired, update the password for the account.
  3. If the user account is locked due to failed attempts, unlock the account.
  4. Log in to the HCX Manager Appliance Management UI (e.g., https://<hcx-manager-ip>:9443).
  5. Navigate to Configuration > SSO/vCenter.
  6. Locate the NSX-T registration.
  7. Click Edit, re-enter the updated credentials, and save the configuration to force a connection refresh.
  8. Verify that the NSX integration status in HCX has returned to green.

Note: If the error persists after verifying credentials, please review the NSX Fabric Transport Zones to ensure the referenced UUID still exists.
