VMs missing status, hostname, and IP after vMotion during provisioning in Aria Automation 8.18.1

Issue/Introduction

• Newly deployed VMs in Aria Automation 8.18.1 may display empty status, hostname, and IP information under the General section.
• This issue prevents Day 2 operations from functioning correctly.

Environment

VMware Aria Automation 8.18.1

Cause

A race condition occurs when a virtual machine is moved via vMotion before provisioning completes. This interrupts pending database updates and causes the VM's state data to become inconsistent.

Resolution

This issue is scheduled to be resolved in VMware Aria Automation 8.18.1 Patch 6.
