After upgrading Workload Control Center (WCC) from version 12.0 to 12.1.SP1 CUM5, WCC displays an "unregistered product" prompt for certain users. Even after registering the product multiple times post-upgrade, specific users continue to see the unregistered product message upon logging in.
Workload Automation AE (AutoSys) and Workload Control Center 12.1.x, 24.x
This issue typically occurs due to:
Cached Browser Data: Stale browser cache and cookies holding outdated registration state references from previous sessions or direct node connections.
Node-Specific Registration: Registering the product while connected directly to an individual WCC node rather than through the shared Load Balancer URL, resulting in inconsistent registration states across cluster nodes.
To resolve the registration prompt and ensure status consistency across all users:
Have affected users clear their web browser cache, cookies, and hosted site data completely.
Launch a new browser session and navigate to WCC using the Load Balancer URL (rather than individual node hostnames/IPs).
Complete the product registration prompt via the Load Balancer URL.
Verify that the product registration status persists and that subsequent user logins no longer trigger the unregistered prompt.
