Supervisor cluster fails to deploy due to duplicate IP.

Issue/Introduction

vSphere with Supervisor Clusters fail to deploy. Supervisor IP's are assigned to different objects. SSH and Pings to Supervisor fail intermittently.

Environment

vSphere 8.0 with VKS using AVI LoadBalancer.
vSphere 9.0 with VKS using AVI LoadBalancer.

Cause

Supervisor IP range overlaps AVI IPAM IP Pool.

Resolution

  1. Log in to the Avi Controller.

  2. Navigate to Infrastructure > Cloud Resources > IPAM/DNS Profiles.

  3. Identify the IPAM profile used for the TKG Supervisor.

  4. Verify the IP pool allocation starting IP and ensure there are no overlapping or duplicate IPs assigned.

  5. Edit the IP pool allocation to use a non-conflicting IP range.

  6. Retry the Supervisor Cluster deployment.
