Error: "Your license has expired and data collection has stopped. To continue using the product please renew VMware Cloud Foundation" in VCF Operations for Networks

Issue/Introduction

When accessing VCF Operations for Networks, the following error message appears: "Your license has expired and data collection has stopped. To continue using the product please renew VMware Cloud Foundation."

Despite this error, the vCenter adapter in VCF Operations 9.1 may continue to monitor the VCF Operations for Networks VMs, as these objects are correctly licensed within VCF Operations.

Cause

 The issue occurs because there is no data source configured in VCF Operations for Networks for the target vCenter Server that hosts the VCF Operations for Networks appliances

Resolution

 To resolve this issue, add the relevant vCenter Server as a data source in VCF Operations for Networks.

1. Log in to the VCF Operations for Networks user interface.
2. Navigate to the Data Sources configuration settings.
3. Add the target vCenter Server instance that hosts the VCF Operations for Networks appliances as a new data source.
4. Verify that the data collection resumes after the configuration is saved.
