MPS Phase 2 Precheck failure: Insufficient vCenter Cluster Hardware Resources

Issue/Introduction

The prechecks for MPS Phase 2 are verifying that the vCenter cluster has enough resources to run the Sandbox Detonation. If the resources are not available, the precheck fails.

vCenter Cluster Resource Requirements Failure Example : 

   

The precheck logs can be found by checking the logs of the pod malware-analysis-vc-precheck-vcenter-cluster-resources-*. 

For example, when there is not enough RAM:

Environment

Security Services Platform (SSP) 5.2.0 with phase 1 of MPS installed

Cause

Insufficient vCenter Cluster Hardware Resources

Resolution

Depending on the hardware resource that is not sufficient, the resource must be increased in the cluster.

The Sandbox Detonation in the vCenter requires a minimum amount of Hardware resources to work. The minimum requirements are as follows:

Number of Hosts: 1
Memory: 32 GB
Number of CPU: 1
Number of CPU Threads: 16
CPU Hz: 1GHz
Free Datastore Space: 80 GB
