Interfaces showing "No Data to Display" for very small utilization values in DX NetOps Performance Management

Issue/Introduction

Users observe "No Data to Display" or "Invalid Data" on interface charts in the DX NetOps Performance Management (PC) Portal UI. Despite the "No Data" message, interface data is being collected and is available via other methods, such as OpenAPI or CSV exports.

Environment

• DX NetOps Performance Management (all versions, specifically noted in 24.3.11)
• Symptoms typically observed on high-speed interfaces (e.g., 100 Gbps) with extremely low utilization.

Cause

 This is a known UI rendering limitation in certain versions of the DX NetOps Performance Management portal. When utilization metrics are extremely small (typically in the scientific notation range of E-6 or smaller, representing near-zero traffic), the XY-Charts in the Portal UI may fail to render the trend line along the bottom of the Y-Axis, resulting in an empty or "No Data" display.

Resolution

• Verification: Confirm that data collection is functioning by running an OpenAPI or CSV export for the affected interface. If data is visible in the export, the issue is confirmed as a UI rendering limitation.
• Workaround: No configuration change is required as the data is being polled correctly.
• Permanent Fix: This behavior is addressed in later releases (e.g., 25.4 and newer). Upgrading the DX NetOps Performance Management environment to a version containing the fix (e.g., DE170337) will ensure these near-zero values are properly depicted on UI charts.
