Unable to save scheduled reports to a network share

Issue/Introduction

• After upgrading to VCF Operations 9.1, the option to schedule and save reports directly to a network share is missing, leaving the Standard Email plugin as the only available delivery method.

Environment

VCF Ops: 9.1, 9.1.0.0300.25531073

VCF: 9.1

Cause

• Beginning with VCF 9.1, FIPS compliance is enabled by default and cannot be disabled.
• TO meet FIPS compliance, the network share plugin has been permanently removed.
• During the upgrade to 9.1, any existing Network Share plugin instances, their configurations, and related historical data are automatically deleted from the appliance.

 

Resolution

Since the Network Share plugin is no longer supported, we recommend transitioning to the Standard Email plugin for automated report delivery.
