Issue/Introduction

Following an upgrade of Clarity PPM from 16.3.2 to 16.4.1, the Data Warehouse full reload of the 'DWH_INV_TASK' dimension table takes significantly longer to complete than before the upgrade, with no corresponding growth in data volume

STEPS TO REPRODUCE:

  1. Setup a Clarity PPM 16.4.1 (or 16.4.2/16.4.3) environment on Oracle having a multi-level WBS with a large task count
  2. Confirm SQL Curve / Instant Sync is disabled in Clarity on this environment
  3. Run a full load Data Warehouse job
  4. Record the load duration from 'DWH_CFG_AUDIT_HISTORY', in the table reference: 'DW_LOAD_END_DATE − DW_LOAD_START_DATE' for the batch where 'TABLE_NAME = 'DWH_INV_TASK'
  5. Compare against a 16.3.2 baseline on the same (or equivalently sized) dataset, run Data Warehouse full load job on such an environment

Expected Results :-
During the execution of the Data Warehouse job, the reload of 'DWH_INV_TASK' completes in a time roughly proportional to table scan comparable to (or only marginally higher than) the 16.3.2 baseline for the same row count.

Actual Results :-
During the execution of the Data Warehouse job, the reload of 'DWH_INV_TASK' takes significantly longer than the 16.3.2 baseline

Environment

Clarity 16.4.1 and higher versions.
